Before we dive in and I get wayyy to carried away. Let’s define a few buzz words. Natural language processing (NLP) is a field of computer science, artificial intelligence, and computational linguistics concerned with the interactions between computers and human (natural) languages. As such, NLP is related to the area of human–computer interaction. Machine learning (ML) is a subfield of computer science that evolved from the study of pattern recognition and computational learning theory in artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence (AI) is the intelligence exhibited by machines or software. It is also the name of the academic field of study which studies how to create computers and computer software that are capable of intelligent behaviour.

This has many many possibilities, and the article possibilities on these subjects are enormous. I want to talk about how they can be used, and most definitely underutilized in business operations. This type of machine learning can change the world, no doubt. But for now lets talk about something super simple. Bots.

Chat Bot for example allow customers to have an engaging conversation and have their redundant questions answered, or orders taken. Freeing up so much time for the business operator. Innovative startups like these are allowing even more simplicity, where all you the user does is design the operational flow chart and the bot automates the rest. That is insane. And companies like Microsoft have developed bot frameworks allowing users to easily code, and design a bot to fit a desired operation and message platform.

I use Product Hunt all the time to find the next big thing. AND I almost did. Here is Bot framework that is really innovative called ManyChat. It is just an example of how automation via Bots is the next big thing. Don’t believe, just read these Time and Tech Crunch articles.
